Anybody know any good model railroading websites? If so post them here.
What sort of website are you looking for? Ones that give step by step ‘how-to’s’? Pictures of people’s layouts? Manufacturers? Prototype info?
There are hundreds, if not thousands of such sites – what type are you looking for? Use Google or another search engine by typing “model railroads” into it and see what pops up. Learning to use search engines can be very rewarding.
Hi Commander,
I could mail you my IE favourites list, I think there are more members around willing to do so, but you did not leave an e-mail adress!

This site is a directory of train related websites, including model trains, all nicely catergorized.
Here’s one that should keep you busy for a while:
What I meant was, if you find a good website or you have a favorite website post it here. I’m not looking for anything in particular just a place so people can post their or their favorite model railroading website.
my favorite for non US trains is :
http://modelspoor.pagina.nl/
lots of links to european rail related sites
I have several.
www.wsorrailroad.com the homepage of my favorite railroad, a regional railroad in southern/central Wisconsin.
www.railpictures.net pictures of many railroads, including the WSOR, Good for prototyping,
www.rr-fallenflags.org many pictures of fallen flags as well as a few modern railroads, also good for prototyping,
and www.trains.com where I am right now! (at leat I think I’m here, some times I have to watch myself and make sure I don’t run away on myself[:D]).

www.railpictures.net is an excellent resource for prototype photos - very handy for adding extra detail. You could also look at www.trainweb.com though their photo selection isn’t as good in my opinion. I also use www.mremag.demon.co.uk for news on the UK modelling scene - they offer daily stories on current events, rather like this site, though they do not (as yet) have a forum.

Try www,NMRA.com, it’ll take you agood year just to get threw the layout tours. Make sure you check them all out , even the ones that are not in your gauge.
