With the house and yard ready for winter,it’s time to get to work on the On3 switching area under the HO layout.
I removed some 2x4 posts to open things up a bit. Also been installing decoders w/sound and LED headlights, class lights, number boards, cabs, and flickering fireboxs.
For right now,the plan is a small yard (about 13’ by 2’) with a “Mainline” curving off for about 10 feet on either end. It’s low,but works well from an office chair with wheels.
I still have lots to do on the HO,too, should keep me busy this winter.
Thanks for your pic’s, everyone,I always enjoy WPF.
Other than having decoder troubles this weekend, I installed a Tomar bumper and got a switch mounted as well. I drilled a #70 hole and used an Athearn stanchion to get the switch to work.
Next project will be removing the inner loop of track on my layout to sand level the roadbed. That should be fun…[|(]
