weekend photo fun 2/17

I posted before I read any of the posts, and having done that I have to pass along my best to you Chuck. Godbless. I hope all goes well for you at the hospital.

Trevor

Looks good everyone. I will contribute a few pics tomorow.

Fine looking pics everybody!

CW - Do you have the CD “Mister D’s Machine”, recorded back in the mid-sixties, of SP cadillacs and F-units on Tehacchepi Loop [and other California locations]? I have it myself, I bet you’d really enjoy it.

Patrick - nice job on the slag in that thimble car, looks glowing hot!

Well here is my contribution for the week: A switching scene of some loaded scrap metal gons being swapped for a string of empties at the basic oxygen furnace mill on the Iron Belt.

Here’s what I’ve spent a few hours working on this week:

This started life as a closed Matchbox “Models of Yesteryear” static tram. It’s since had a SPUD power truck fitted and been converted to open-top form by removing the roof and adding the handrails. Needs a few more bits of wire on the lower deck and a trolley pole to finish off, as well as crew and passengers.

my new Atlas GP40

i straightened out my mainline

here’s what the mainline looked like before

I put my new AC4400 in the BNSF swoosh on the BNSF executive train, which has gotton a former ATSF sleeper on it since the last time I posted pics.

This image is rather dark [V], but I guess that just means it’s nighttime!

This is the train passing a derailed oil car, could pose to be a dangerous situation which is why the Amtrak Fire Dept. is standing by (not pictured). I’m sure those big-wigs can’t like seeing that…

In person, this is my best looking non-Railbox car ever done. The guy who won it gets to behold its true appearance. [sigh]

Well I’ve been scrolling back through the last few weeks of Photo fun that I have missed and all I can say is … “WOW !!!”" Aggro that truly looks phenominal, fantastic work.

Great work everyone else also,

Jeffers, try pulling the layers of fibre apart a little to give a more airy transparent branchlike appearance (or just leave them as is) they look good as is and I know what you mean about the millionth tree, I’ve made several hundred of “aggrotrees” myself in the past.

Have fun all and be safe.
Karl.
(Maybe I’ll have something to show next week…)
