Weekend Photo Fun (3/30/07-4/01/07)

Since I’m off today thought I would start the fun.

Completed the two arrival tracks for my Taylor yard. Leads connected on both ends to the mainline (on the right). The #6 double corssover was a suggestion from Selector (eye candy [;)]) in my earlier design phase. Besides the “look” of the double crossover, this provided a way for my switcher to get to either arrival track to pull the cut of cars - thank you very much

Regards,

Hey, Tom, that is great eye candy! Nice photography, too. [:D]

I have sent you an email, Tom. Please see.

This is my first post using a link to the new railimages account.

The caption is - “Sunset on the Seneca Falls trestle”.

Nice pics. Here is an area that I just finished the rock work west of Ozark. Still a lot more work to do with foliage, trees, ballast and water.

K-L (Kansas City-North Little Rock) eastbound

Here’s my new alligators pulling a mixed freight through Deming. Nice work on the lighting guys. Something I havn’t had the time to perfect yet.

Here is my progress for the past 2 weeks. The plaster is in and painted. I still need to do the finish scenery but I think I am going to take a break for a while and enjoy running the trains.

The sawmill complex on my layout. The entire complex pulls out to access the switches in the rear. These structures are constructed from several Walther’s HO kits.

Hey, I know that spot! I used to work in Ozark as the ambulance service director. It was great being one block from the railroad. My off time was spent chasing trains up and down the old mopac main and tracing the abandoned rails from Altus and Clarksville. So I’ve seen that rock wall many times! May I suggest more greenery?

Looking good!

Great pics everyone! Tomorrow its official, I’m making the 5 hr journey (1 way I might add) to pick up my new layout. I will try to get pics on Sunday, but its doubtful right now… Once again grrrreat work everyone!!!

Wow, this thread started early this time.

The fictional Greenville Arbor Foundation donated trees, so slowly but surely the Department of Natural Resources has been planting them.

Here are some around my speeder shed:

Here are some around the driveway to the roundhouse:

I printed out this sign on my computer,

and placed it by the driveway to the roundhouse:

and here, we caught up with one of the local Greenville residents after a St. Patrick’s Day party:

El Capitan, that is very nice looking trackwork in Deming. Is it hand laid?

Tom

This is my first post on wpf but I read it every week. I finally decided to show some of my work. I have been practicing Aggrojones filter pine trees lately and these are my first four tries.

As usual, some fine work shown here. I have been taking some photos for the March Photo contest across the street…

At the shops in Hopewell Junction, decapod #279 has just departed the turntable to do service on a local freight as American #499 drops ashes and takes on water before heading into the roundhouse for minor repairs.

Thanks although now that I am looking at the picks it looks like it is a tad wavey where the depot platform will be going.

Anyway, yes it is handlaid O scale. I cut my own ties and scratchbuild my own switches. I’m a dying breed in this age of RTR.

This will be my 1st time contributing to the Weekend photo fun threads.

I just finished up an Atlas HO scale Lumber yard building. I am not having it be just lumber though, as the layout doesnt have any logging or mill opperation yet. I do have a quarry. and the quarry is just up the spur from this building. future expansion will introduce the logging and log mill. So this place is titled Catamount Mt. Sticks 'N Stones.

I need to make our home next, the wife’s request. So this weekend I will be taking some measurements of the house and starting the sketches. this one will be interesting to see if it comes out good enough, I plan on working on it and not letting her know and only showing it to her when i am finished. heh
