Like the chip un-loader.
Great work examples again this week. Impressive imagination on some items and superior skills demonstrated.
I’ll include a shot of GP9 and RS2 that got LokSound and speaker conversions recently, and I got them playing together quite well, though managing the directional headlight workings properly had me puzzled. I figured out a way to make it work, but could not get it to do exactly what I wanted ala the instructions
And the next victim arrived today, a Lifelike Proto 2000 SD50 that will get a LokSound. Thanks to some prior threads, I figured out how to get the shell off. I’m currently evaluating what speaker option will provide the most oomph. With some weight grinding I’m sure I can put at least dual small (LokSound) ovals, but my leaning is that 4 13x18 sugarcubes would be better. I understand the fuel tank is on with doublestick tape and fear prying it until something gives, but it has to come off for a good lube and to tinker with the weight.
Photo taken on the club layout. A member wanted to show is latest acquisition, a Genesis SD70ACe.
That’s a great shot of a very nicely modeled scene!

I am trying to shoot videos of trains on the layout. It takes a lot of coordination which I don’t have.
Here is trains running on the layout… Atlas SD24’s with Sountraxx Tsusami sounds. BLI E7’s with factory sound; Intermountain F7 with MRC EMD 567 sound with P1K non sound F3’s
My scratch-built radio repair shop in place on the layout, at twilight:
Imagine how great this scene will look when all the buildings have interiors and lights:
Ray D… That looks real !
Thanks, Garry, appreciate the comment. I tried to play your video, but my XP’s mojo is just about gone, so it was probably just me.
Ray,
I agree with Garry. Awesome night scene makes that already great model look even better.[Y]
Well I did get a little bit of modelling time in, but my time is definitely not my own, however I am enjoying and appreciating everyones contributions, really Good Stuff! [bow] (even prototype photos of a radio repair shop.) [:-^] [;)]
Cheers, the Bear.[:)]
I was playing around with a recently finished 18"x30" diorama taking pictures of finished engines. I have been meaning to get around to having a piece of scenery to take pictures of finished projects.
A Lehigh New England freight (mantua frames, scratch shells).
A Reading K-1 on a coal drag (IHC base).
I thought this one turned out the best. A Reading I-8 (Bachmann Spectrum base, scratch shells)
I uploaded some photos that I took coming back to college after Christmas. Here is one of a waterpipe used as a park monument in Staunton, Va. Most likely C&O.
Nice work, everyone. I love the high-quality scratchbuilding. I retired at the end of the year, and I’m finally getting out from under the piles of paperwork that entails. At last, my time is my own. I’ve been building Phase 3 of my layout, which is mostly a staging yard but includes scenery. Here’s the first structure which supports a Miller Engineering animated sign.
Throwing some light on the subject, you can see the wooden scaffold I built from balsa wood and coffee stirrers.
Nice work on those locos, and the display diorama looks great!
I’ve got to try one of those animated signs someday, maybe in the window of one of my buildings.
All I can say is “WOW!” particularly that shot looking up from the ground!
All I can say is “WOW!”–particularly that shot taken from ground level.

P.S. Hey, how did my reply to Ray’s shots of his auto repair shop end up down here? D.H.
Look at the time stamps bewteen Ray’s post and yours. This forum always posts replies at the end so they are in day/time order.
PJM20,
FYI: Yep. C&O Poage Type H water column with a Universal spout.
Everyone else, nice offerings this week. I especially like the steam power pics by RDG Casey.

Painting and weathering wheels, axles, and trucks for 35 P2K tank car kits.
Mike L … Thanks for commenting. … Evidently, my experiemnt with movie making was a complete flop. You are the only guy who commented, and you were unable to see it. … Oh well.
