Dan, thanks for hosting. Isn’t it nice to get a solid passenger consist to play with? Very nice coaches, and that engine looks very interesting…is it a 4-6-4? Very nice, whatever it is.
Here is an image of a PRR J1 drifting down grade on my reversing loop across the river. Since this image was taken, I have received a nice Walther’s PRR Caboose to go with it.
Hey, Hey, Hey! It’s the weekend already. Don’t have anything new to share from the layout, but did a little railfanning a few days back. Hope you don’t mind a few Prototype shots…
These are from the Finger Lakes Railway near the old Lisk buildings in Canandaigua, NY. They are reworking and ballasting track.
For you weathering fans:
Some of the ties (I think they were some time ago) that are being replaced.
Sure I have a picture of a few of my locomotives I have been working on.
I have super detailed and weathered each of these milwaukee road units. The weathering is light but it’s there. Starting from the right, A Milwaukee U28B, Milaukee GP38-2, and a Milwaukee U30C. The beakon on the U28B works![;)]
Some very nice photos this week already. Those new passenger cars do look good. Crandell, the sweeping vistas that are on your layout are awesome. I like the sky, photo-shop I presume?
Terry, very imaginative use of a glue lid, the project is looking very good.
It has been a few weeks since I posted anything, it has been a busy time with lots of travel, family gatherings, kids baseball, turning Catholic, you know minor stuff like that! Anyway, I have been slowly working on a project to fill a space behind a hardware store/mini lumber yard. It is very close to the front of the layout, so I want to get it detailed out.
It still needs a roof, some more weathering, and the ground needs some work, but it is coming along.
