Thanks for setting up our ‘April Fools’ WPF, Kevin! Looks like you’ll be building lots of bridges and toting lots of fill for your S&G Eastern (Martime?) Division. Looks like FUN!
Well, it got the Bear’s interest, anyway
I got a surprise email Monday stating my NYC Commodore Vanderbilt Hudson is on its way. It arrived Thursday and it is a beautiful model!
In a twist of good fortune I just happened to finish up a pair of Mercury coach and Parlor car this week, although this isn’t the Mercury engine it certainly could have had these cars behind her at one time or another.
Really amazing photos, everyone! And Kevin, nice to see your plan finally. If you’ve ever shared it before I missed it. I’m very excited for you.
I need to bring the level of quality down a notch so we don’t get too proud of ourselves up in here. Here are a couple of photos my old coaling tower with a light wired up. In the first, the tower is off in the distance behind the Perkins, which still needs a lot of work itself (light leaks, etc.).
In the next photo the tower stands in dim moonlight by itself. Broad daylight would show what a craftsman I was NOT at age 14, but I still think this old tower has a lot of charm.
I’ve been eager to get lights on two separate buildings as a proof of concept for using the WeHonest distribution board. It’s an amazing product, but working with such tiny connections is really a challenge for me.
Beary kind of you to say, J, but I’m not sure that what I’m seein’ is what ursine.
Yeah. I went there.
I just meant that not many photos here have Quaker Oats cartons for their scenic backgrounds. I’m grateful that magazine-level modelers like y’all allow me to post my photos.
It’s only 9:15 here on the Left Coast. There’s still time for someone to rescue the thread by posting one more really stunning photo.
