Time again for WPF. Hoping to see lots-o Model Railroading images. Thanks & Regards, Peter
Peter, thanks for starting another WPF!
I donât have certain eras on the layout â just things that I like seeing. I got this N car today from Firecrownâs rewards system on the forum. Iâm going to leave it like it is.
Peter thanks for starting WPF. You and John have lovely freight wagons.
âRusty the Dieselâ
A Misty Morning
Baltimore & Ohio RDC (Proto 1000) is stopped at the station as Western Maryland F7A (Athearn Genesis) rumbles by with a coal drag.
Meanwhile, at the south end of the layout, the Kirk brothers (Jim and Sam) have been busy adding signage to their newly acquired warehouse buildingâŚ
Thanks for kicking off a great WPF, Peter! You sure had to sharpen a lot of pencils to make a carload of shavings to fill that car! Looks excellent!
Many great contributions here as usual
Iâm to the point of my platform renovation project where Iâm really seeing the progress and getting the âfussyâ work out of the way!

After some discussion here I decided to paint the stripes only on the end columns and the ones by the stairway. Good choice, I believe!

Thanks to everyone participating in WPF! Great to see everyoneâs layout and work-in-progress!
Cheers, Ed
Looks great, Ed!
John, Like to think of my layout era as mid-80s, but been stretching it out some, like you, thereâs things I like seeing. No wonder youâre leaving the MRT boxcar as is, a nice dynamic keepsake.
Always a pleasure seeing your layout David, been working in the garden for the past several days and your scenes fit whatâs currently in my mindâs eye.
Nice scene tompmrr, and so too those F unit beauties.
The light at the end of the tree-line, I like it Heathmiester.
Jimmy, Looks like some static-grassinâ fun goinâ on.
Jeffcb10, Wow, love the KCS paint, the lighted cab is cool!
alfadawg01, Looks like youâve run into a brick wall with some nice mortar effect. Looking forward to seeing some freight cars at Kirk Bros.
Ed, looks like it wonât be long till your âRed Capsâ will be rollinâ out the Red Carpet, btw, like your metropolis in background. My 1947 Chicago Automatic Pencil Sharpener is likely up to the task, but not my 1951 arm. Anyhoo, made the load with a snug-fit piece of 1/8â hardboard, then, sculpted the mound with Sculptamold to the rough side. Painted the Sculptamold when dry. With paint dried, white glued on some saw dust. Threw in the towel on trying to form the netting seen on some chip loads with fine mesh tulle.
Keep emâ cominâ folks. Thanks and regards. Peter
I finally did manage to do some modeling but am still very tired after that surgery a couple of weeks ago.
I found this incomplete and damaged Red Caboose 1937 AAR NKP Boxcar, replaced the broken items and found some coupler pocket covers that would work on the kit. I have a few of these NKP 1937 AAR Boxcar models as the NKP bought over 4,000 of these cars for general service.
Completed a Bowser ACF 1958CF Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II UP Covered Hopper Gray paint and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. The DT&I had 300 of these cars in servce hauling cement, soda ash and sand for various clients.
A pair of DT&I SD38âs with an Auto Parts train heading to Delta OH, picture taken on the Srongsville Club Layout.

Welcome back, Rick.
Take it easy. Even when you think you are okay.
(Been there.)
Good to see you back â hope your recovery goes well. Your work on the cars is always great!
Rick, Good luck with your recovery.
Regards, Chris
Just about finished with the bulk weigher for Sleepy Eye MN.elevator, looks pretty good. Also carved out some foam around the deck girder bridge west of town. Lots to carve out around here.
Rick, Was wondering about ya, good to see you back at the bench and sharing your fine work with us.
Heathmiester, The grain handling complex looks good, not to mention all those dirty, grimy covered hoppers.
Thanks to all the contributors and viewers. Have a good week ahead. Regards, Peter
