WEEKEND Photo Fun — May 18 - 20, 2018

Chip I like the wood better than the garish stone colors on the box lid.

Agreed, but I would have matched the stone to the local rock colors.

There’s a lot of good work here, but I have to run out so I can’t comment on everyone’s work individually. But holy moly, I’ve got a lot of work to do to catch up to you guys. I still haven’t even got my mainline laid.

I have started building a nostalgic 160cm by 70cm HO scale Marklin tinplate layout, just like layouts were built in my childhood days.

Work started on Friday by building the table top and the first test run was done yesterday.

Oldest item on the lyout is the engine house, which is a minimum of 57 years old. Most of the other equipment is anywhere from 30 - 45 years old and still going strong!

This is pure fun - and nothing else!

A hardy THANKS goes out to all the talented folks who have contributed to this edition of WPF!

A special tip 'o the hat to The Bear for his creative and amusing annotations [:D] and it’s sure great to see Ulrich and his Terriffic Tabletop Tinplate Testimonial To Trains!

Cheers and Thanks Again, Everyone!
