I guess I will start it off. Heres a few shots of my layout. I know guys its a little dusty. Thanks to plaster of paris. I still have to add some hills and small mountains to the front of the riser. I still have to finish off the mountains hill range around where there will be a small coal mill. Now… I didn’t finish off the backdrop all the way due to a added a small hill and mountain in that corner. I wanted the backdrop like that mainly for picture taking. I think I need to paint some hills on the backdrop. I don’t like how it looks other than the clouds. Heres the few shots.
Isn’t the plaster cloth great stuff. I found it fun to use. Looks like you are well underway.
It was awhile back on here about someone asking if that plaster cloth on eBay was any good. You go several pounds for $25.00. I tried it. I like it. I still have half a box left. Now, the beginning of the roll is kinda rough, but other than that its ok.
Here’s 2 UP ABBA FA/B ALCO sets, and 3 UP H15-44’s on the throat of my loco depot (ie, the loco depot consists only of the lead to it, and the tracks finish about 12 inches under the bridge - the main line is to the right). All units have sound installed.

Those locos look great. I bet they sound great to.
Nothing new on the layout, but a couple new neighbors came over and wanted to help work on it! I’m afraid they might eat more scenery than they build though.[:D]
THAT was a bizarre thing to wake up to.
Well then you should have seen my x wife[(-D]
Nice work everyone !
Weird Neighbors Loathar !
Here’s a shot of the inside of my Engine House that i’m building
You can see more pictures here
Terry, are you sure you got the right image file? [:)]
Here is a picture of a spur of the moment project I worked on tonight. I need several car card boxes for my layout so I decided to make up 1 prototype to see how well they will work. I only have about 6 more to make for the towns and two larger ones for the yards.
Loather gets the “Most Realistic Livestock” award.
Brian … Great line up of UP first generation units.
Pike 62… I like the card box idea!
My WPF has my 0-6-0 at work serving industries in Prarie View.
Happy Model Railroading
Sorry about that Loathar-didn’t mean to show up so early, just wanted to see your progress on the layout. [:D]
Aaaaaaaaah ya------------ Well maybe--------- Why ?
Hey Tator, Tatorsalad… Do you have any other aliases like the famous comedian Ron White? I just had to ask.[(-D][(-D][(-D]
Terry, The link worked just great for us. Great detail. Too bad you don’t have room for the part that is cantilevered over the abyss[tup]
Sue & Larry
Looks a little…you know…too good. [:D]
Loather, I just love the detail you did with the donkey, but it would not normally be positioned at a bird feeder. [(-D] Perhaps adding a fence to that scene might help. Kidding aside, your neighbors really should keep their critters from roaming like that. It’s not safe for the critters, especially if there are roads nearby. [C):-)] Rob
Here is a sepia tone image that I took on the layout Friday. Thanks to one of our regulars, I can now make images this way. The software also allows me to superimpose a mask around the periphery of the image.
He has created a monster!! It’s all I wanna do now. [:P]
Nothing happening on the layout this weekend… One guess on why…
Seeing as how this is Winter, I will show my ski slope with motorized ski lift. I plan to have a way to cover the ski slope and skating rink during the summer season at the Bavarian hill top Resort.
For me nothing captures the nostalgic flavor of steam like a sepia photo It’s like looking at an cigar box full of old photos
This does look suspiciously like a Charlie Comstock inspired photo
Careful Selector you could get good !
