Weekend Photo Fun (WPF) June 10 - 12

Motley,

That looks totally cool in that pic, I want to build a mini-module using a BLMA unit with two Exactrail girder bridges as ‘feeders’ on each end. However, I have not made the effort to go buy the wood for the base yet. I hope it will make a neat little (5 foot) display…

I like the way you shot that picture, (as I would not want to shoot loco’s on it as the structure would take away from the image details). Your shot has given me inspiration to capture the loco’s & the bridge at the same time. That is a real nice composition you did there! Good job!

Here is the County of Bedford and a rake of teak coaches heading through town on a fan trip.

A few more from the Brit file!

The small tank engines are all circa 1970 from my childhood. Most of them still run, the GWR Pannier tank is missing a connecting rod.

Hey! It’s been a while since Ive posted. Ive been busy with MRCV. I recently put together a trailer. It’s only a minute. Enjoy!!!

WOW! Great movie of a busy little rr and what powerful music!

Great work this week guys as always. it’s been a while since I put anything up so a latest scratch / kit bashing project. I found at a train show eons ago a box of stuff in the bottom was a kit for a white metal traction flat motor which was made I think by a co called traction exptress ( no longer around ) any way I used the beautifull white metal deck and under frame accesories and scratched a Differential car company dump motor. The control cabs are scratched from evergreen siding and it is powered by a bull ant power truck with a dummy minatures by eric trailing truck. Poles are Bowser ones. The car at preasant is powered from the rail pick up but if I decide to go with overhead power pickup with it and my other cars I could do that. That just isn’t high on the priority list. I just string overhead wire for effect on the layout at presant.

Rob

I’ve been working on converting this GP7 into something resembling a GP9 with a couple of added attractions

Nice little unit there Rob,

Might be a slight derailment on that rear truck.

Alan J

look back at one of my temporary experimental UniTrack switching layouts.

John,

Very nice video, love the way you did the opening shot, it creates an interesting and effective touch. Anxious to see the full length video.

Wayne

Wayne,

While this is the opening title sequence from season three, you can see the first four episodes of season one through Ryan’s Website.

Thank you Wayne and HO60s for your kind comments

Careful Simon, or else that Pannier will start to waddle on my.

Nice grouping from the Big 3 and British Rail

Some weathering I did for a friend. He was quite trusting with a brand new in the box set of hoppers. I like the results very much. I went much lighter on them than my SP equipment receives.

I see posting pictures here remains frastrating.

Interesting. Preview post and click on link to photo to open in new tab. Copy and past that new tab photo into the original post.

Started disassembly of the large group of P2K Geeps I got in the mail on monday. Mostly NKP GP18s, but there was a patched SCL GP9 in the mix. I’m going to use this one to make a ex-GN GP5 with a chop nose. So far just changing the plastic stirrups for wire and brass handrails. This was my first try with them, and I think I did a pretty decent job on them

I haven’t touched the GP18s since I have to buy new screens, and no one makes a correct 48" fan for phase 3 Gp9s in HO. I might be able to remove the shrouding on the GP18 fan to get something close to the GP9 fan.

Also got a bag of freebie HO scale cars, and another autorack. I took several hours on painting (most were molded in brown, white, red, or green) them all, but IMO the overall effect is good.

Vince,

Greatwork! Who’s brass Stantions are you using? I’d like to get some of those! Your Auto Racks look excellent!!!

Have you checked out Railflyer Model Prototypes fans, if they don’t have them there is a chance they will in the future, they have almost everything EMD & GMDD!

Thanks. The handrails are from Smokey Valley. They are from a GP9B kit I picked up at a local show. That was my very first try at solderinf brass handrails. I have a 2nd set that will be put together soon. Only issue is the rails are lower than stock P2Ks, so it works better for detailed and painted units.

Railflyer does have the fans on pre-order status. I was lamenting none currently avialable. Guess I have to wait.

Well, did a lot of work today. I got a backdrop up and the river carved out.

First a railfanning video of my layout.

And a couple shots:

6330 on the bridge

SP Hopper at end of bridges

Layout as it is now (I have a pic tutorial for the riverbed if y’all want)

All those photos are really nice and I very much enjoy looking at them all. I just wish I could post a pic or two, but I don’t know how. I know this has been asked many times before and feel very foolish about asking again. I am old, and computers are a very new thing to me. Well I’m not really that old, but just the same, I’m not very good with computers. I have a photo bucket acct. and I have all my railroad photos in one folder. Now for my problems (2)

(1) How do I get my pictures from my folder to photo bucket?

(2) How do I get the photo from photo bucket to post on this forum.

Thanks to everyone and sorry for the annoying questions.

Sam

Not annoying at all. On the photobucket page, hover the mouse over the picture, and a drop-down will appear. The fourth one down will have a web link that begins and ends with [ img ] click on that. Photobucket should copy it automatically. If it doesn’t then click on it (highlght it) and press the CTRL and the C keys at the same time. Then open this web page and press CTRL and the V keys at the same time. That will paste the link here. Hit “post”, and it will work.

Paste this>>> IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/TitanXP/5344-1.jpg[/IMG (Notice I removed the brackets so you could see it.

And it will look like this>>

One more little freebie tip for you. Any picture online not copy protected, right-click on it, and go to properties. Mid way down there will be a weblink on the pop-up grey box. copy that link and paste it between the IMG and /IMG tags (Again, you’ll need to add the brackets) and it will post THAT picture.

There’s also a button at the top of the posting window before the smiley face that looks like a roll of film with a plus sign. If y
