WEEKEND PHOTO FUN, yes it's that time again folk's

Let’s see what you have all done this week

Could you tell me how to post a photo, please?

Well i finally got round to doing some work on the embankments, plaster cloth was stuck over the blue foam and rolled up newspaper,

Could anyone tell me how to post a photo, please?

Darth Santa Fe, you will have to have a photo hosting web site i use free webs, or you could try Photobucket, you copy your pictures URL onto your message but you will have to put [ img ] in front and [ / img ] at the end (no spaces between characters) or all you will get is

this is another explanation from Bob

Photobucket gives you two options for selecting photos they host. One starts like you’ve posted, with http: The others start with [ img ] and end with [ /img ]. (I’ve added extra spaces between the square brackets so this will show up here).

The second option is the preferred one on this forum, as your photos apper right within your post, no need to click on to see.

I’ve added the [img] tag to your first photo:

Easy as that!

Thanks for posting them in any fashion!

Darth, you need to get an account with a webhost for photos. I use www.railimages.com, a free site, that’ll take a couple of days to get you registered. Once you are up and running, and have uploaded some pix, you get each pix’s URL and copy to a new post here. Make sure it is the enlarged version, not the thumb. Then, you preface the URL immediately with a [, followed by ‘img’, not the quotes, just the three letters, followed once more by the closing ]. Not parenthesis, but the square ones. Following the URL, another [, followed by /, another img, and close brackets. or ]. That will tell the MR server to get that image.

Am I right?

Nice pictures everybody!!![8D][8D][8D]

Darth- you are correct.

Wow Steve, we’re off to an early start. Your progress this week is impressive.

I’ve been working on details! Tomorrow it’s power lines!!! Well, here goes…

Chain link to keep those pesky railfans at bay.[:D]

Hobos ready for the evening slop…

Split Rock Mine no longer says New River Mine. Now that’s progress![:p]

Strewn crossties.

Man, I like the Denver skyline. Very nice backdrop. Reminds me of the 80’s when I lived out there. Ya done good![8D]

Grande Man - you’ll never believe this! - on your post about ‘cheap’ trackside details, I was going to suggest using strips of tulle to simulate chain-link fences. My daughters are always leaving that stuff lying around from their ballet costumes. I never had a chance to actually do it so I didn’t post. Looks like you beat me to it![:D] (Great work BTW)

None of the work I did this week is worthy of a camera lens…[sigh]

Steve - Great looking paper mill! What did you use for the buildings?

Great minds think alike, maybe? [:D] Actually my fence is a kit I got at the LHS, but the theory is the same. Give it a try, it works well.

ETA this straight camera angle shot of the chain link fence.

They jumped the gun by a few hours…

Here’s some stuff I’m putting on Ebay this weekend.
Roundhouse CR 50’ hi-cube

and the other side.

Accurail N&W USRA hoppers. Set of three.

Another project almost finished. Ihave to move 2 tracks. I had an other mine here- did’nt like it. This gives me an incentive to do scenery in this area.
Tom

Ok I will try this again.
