This thing was in the “practice” box a week ago. Now, it has emerged. It will be a Helm Leasing ex-Chessie box car. I followed prototypes for the most part. Side A is complete. I modeled the scrapes from the forklift operators opening the door with the fork of the forklift, the graffiti, the rusted out area where the doors were rusted shut…until the cheapest railroad establishment in the US got ahold of it!(Helm leasing), and I faded the lettering and logo. The doors are also a realistic…rust. Oh, and of course, it is sitting atop my System of a Down and Audioslave CD’s[;)]
Rust area and streaking right over good ol’ Chessie.

uspscsx, i too use photobucket, to avoid the problem edit your pics before you upload them to photobucket. click on your pic and select edit, then click on strech&scew, a box will come up with horizontal set at 100 and vertical set at 100. set both at lets say 40, click save as. now your 1.2meg picture will be at about 40kb, problem solved! now its under 50kb, forum friendly![:D] uplaod it to photobucket. play with it, sometimes you might have to set both at 30, or whatever, just try to stay under 50kb. hope this helps.[:)]
Thanks. I think I got 'em fixed.
My problem was I accidently kept resizing too small somehow, but I figured it out.
Yeah, it started out as an unpainted OMI. Whomever had it prior to me had it painted in a MoPac scheme and a decoder installed. I was never too terribly fond of the paint job. I happened to have a bunch of extra detail parts around and wanted to add a mini tunnel motor in a “what could have been” SP scheme. So we’ll see how it turns out later on down the road.
