weekend photo fun

still working on the refinery…this is gonna be a slow painstaking process but isn’t it fun?..[:D] chuck

The Express and Mail behind a lone E8 passes the station in Moraine.

Opened the club for the general public tonight but almost no one came to visit.

Here’s my contribution for the week. A lumber shack I salvaged from somewhere. The interesting thing is not the shack itself, but that the camera was destroyed in a fall. I took it apart trying to fix it, and found it beyond repair. These photos where still on the memory stick, and the camera held together with dangling wires, held power long enough for me to upload these shots.

Not much to offer. You guys are great. Great pictures and great skills.

I am working on test track setup in garage. This is the first time I’ve printed out from XtrkCad using 1:1. Still have some cleanup work to do around the walls as you can see from that bit of tape.

I considered starting a separate topic for this but thought more people would see them in this thread. This is what I found holding just outside of College Station, Texas on Nov. 28th at about 9:00 AM.

Tom

Chip, you are a good artist, sorry about the camera. No more pics for a while?? eng 22, nice rural scene. Great detail. I am working on a similar scene and will go back to these pics when I get to it. I am working on my first diorama for the club contest, station scene with ghosts. No pics yet, maybe next week.

Eng,

I do like those houses. Nice subtle weathering. Good job.

Tom,

Can’t wait to see that layout. After watching the plans grow, I kinda feel like an expectant uncle.

Other Tom,

Cool pics. You should probably do a thread by itself as well. a lot of people don’t do this thread because of dial-up speeds. They should see those shots.

I guess we all know what Chip wants for XMAS,hint:new camera!!
Any way real great work Chip.CHIN HIGH Y’LL GET BY

Nice photos guys!

Heres my little contribution. STEAM MADNESS!! The 3 best engines on the SP&E roster.

No HO - Proto 2000 E8 on the point, Walthers express reefers.

Actually I thought it wasn’t too good a photo. Camera was having problems because the battery was low. The tripod wasn’t cooperating either. I was very mad at it until I realized it had served me well for 30 years.

I know my wife wouldn’t agree with the analogy, however, I am expecting this will take longer than 9 months. Sorry, could’t resist. [:)]

I love the Katy. Thanks for the pic.

Got them at my LHS, Prieser figures pack, kids and bikes.

Hi all. Those are some VERY nice pics folks! Ya’ll have a great weekend!

Here’s a couple from yesterday…

I “semi-scratched” the right signal. These are kinda fun to build. [:)] I hope to do some multi-target units soon.

Here’s some cool proto pics Cullman, Al.

GP30 slug!!! [8D]

Restored 1913 L&N station.

Northbound freight passing the station. Note the flashing ditchlights from the grade crossing.

eng22, I love those little houses. Are they scratch-built, or kits?

I’ve made a lot of progress on my roundhouse, but my wife’s in Florida with the camera.

Fianfun Thanks for those cool UP pictures I always love to see them. They look great and I am going to save one to my backround
