Cleaned the train room, cleared off the work bench, set the table, the family came and ate, cleaned up the dishes and the granddaughter made the first run with the Billboard Reefer train. Some adjustments to couplers is in order. She also ran a load of logs down to the mill. Now back to the Yard Bird project. I have a short someplace.
Hi all: Art, that’s some great scenery for a back drop for a great family meal!
I’ve been working on signs this week. Here’s an Alco RS-27 leading a local past SC tower and a keystone whistle post.
Well this was a small project, but I patched my ACR GP7. All I need to do it replace the number boards.
Just a video from me for now. I have the long freight running the ‘short’ route so it doesn’t take so long to come around.
Yep a great place for a meal, Art. excellent stuff Art, Grampy’s [love the weathering on that diesel] WCfan and Jeffrey.
One from my UK layout with some Preiser figures. Fun because I don’t actually have any passenger trains. They’ll be waiting for quite some time.

Great posts everyone. [tup] With the Thanksgiving holiday weekend activities it is hard to find time to work on the layout.

Great shots guys…here’s my contribution this week. My F-units were on their maiden run on the patio layout…
Did some railfaning in South Fork today, here are my best shots, I’ll be going back tomorrow.
Some Helpers that may have been in the show Extreme trains, These are the helpers for The West Slope today.
mikelhh -Nice lighting!
completed a scenry panel and slid it between the wall layout. A few more trees and it will be in good shape.
I saw an interesting kitbash today:
Finally got the Trainfest pictures in the computer.
Beer train. The rear car is a Skytop. The Commissioner of the More Taste League needs to ride in style.[;)]
Stoney Creek bridge on our club layout, Trois-Rivieres (Three Rivers) Quebec
I must say I was not involve with the making of this project.
The scenery still in the making went from this
To this. More trees are needed, a campground will be added along with some rocks climbers and a look out with parking for railfans.
Well, I’m back to ye olde 4 by 8 sheet o’ ply to build a layout. However, this time it’s actually been PLANNED, lol. Since these pics were taken, I’ve added roadbed to everything that needs it, lol:
Now I see the need for well cars, I wonder what the NMRA weight standers are for beer cans?[:D]

Art, you may have a short somewhere but you sure have a great dinner table setting! [^]

Man oh man, the old Superior Bakery! This kit has been around since the hobby’s stoneage and probably has been used as kitbash-fodder for more different designs than I can count. Nevertheless, this is a new one to me and shows a clever eye for kitbashing by its builder.

how many servings of beer is that in HO?
Happy long weekend, everyone, and great pics so far. What a setting for Thanksgiving - surrounded by the splendor of the whole American West.
I’ve been doing Bragdon rocks around Moose Bay. This is one of the last un-scenicked areas on my layout. I’d never used the Bragdon foam before, so there was a bit of a learning curve, but I’m pretty happy with the way it came out. After I got the rock faces in, I used plaster cloth to fill the gaps to the rest of the scenery, so the next step will be some Gypsolite cover for that. The big pink space in the center will be dirty green water, most likely.
Great stuff so far.
Heres what I have done so far. Faded it, and a few rust spots.
I still need to do underneath, roof, new reporting marks, trucks, wheels, and couplers. I am hoping to have it done by Tuesday for eBay.
I am making it a Chicago Shortline Railroad (CSL).
