Well, here is my kick in for the WPF thread. I dont know what possed me early this week but I went off and built this. I picked up all the wood froma local hardware store that stocks a full line of balsa wood stock. I stainded it with india ink and acohol/water mix applied with an airbrush. First time really scratching building with wood. Guess a wall is about as easy it gets.
I have a few more scenery details to do. The wall should be old, so there will need to be more buhses at the bottom. Tried to give it the effect if haveing variuos repairs of the years with new planks added. (hence the darker panels)
Hi guys! Great pics! Ive been doing alot of work latley so much ive havent had much time on the forem ( busy huh)
Anyway heres what ive been working on By the way Canazar Great job! What a Ham!
Great start everyone. Earlier this week was a post - “What I want for 2006”.
Well, I took Friday off after several weeks of grueling hours at the job. I got my two wishes.
Got this early Friday morning. MP DS44-1000 switcher from Stewart Hobbies. Wife was with me.
Picked this up Friday afternoon - wife was not with me. Genesis MKT F3 AB set, both powered. This will be a hauler. I left the other “A” at the LHS ; much later purchase … if you know what I mean. Don Z. It’s your fault [;)].
Today, off to the train show in Stafford TX. Now, when am I going to find the time to build that RR [:(]
So now it’s MY fault you had to stop by the LHS on the way home??? I see you were able to swing the magic deal you were looking for with the AB set…now, if you learned by my example and stayed home from the train show, you could be working on your benchwork much like I am doing. After all, if you’re not home to work on it, the layout will never get started…
It was good to see you again after all these years!
