Funny how the brain works when you go to sleep. This morning at breakfast, it occurred to me to check the Kibri Acessory Sets in the paper catalog. The forklift is from a Kibri Warehouse Accessories set; just a different color in the catalog picture

Testing out my new air compressor and blast cabinet…using baking soda…
As always, the best thread of the week! I have nothing new to share (maybe in a couple weeks I will be able to get back to doing some modeling), so I just post an oldie…

George,
Thanks. That was the problem I was having, I knew I’d seen it or something similar, but couldn’t recall where. I’m always on the lookout for material handling equipment, particularly older prototypes.
Dave,
Nice work there.
Mike,
Preiser also makes material handling equipment: Hand jacks, like was shown, 6 in package, molded in yellow, 6 two wheel hand trucks, tan, 6 electric, walk along fork-lift trucks, molded in red and many crates, barrels, etc. along with 21 workers, which are of a European flavor, so you can doctor them up, they are not painted. I picked up a couple for my Transload buildings, won’t break the bank, as far as I was concerned. Here’s the kit link:

They also have 60 ready made pallets, which can be used, the smaller 4-ways,also by Preiser, here’s the art.# 17104.
Take Care! [:D]

Now there is a blast from the past.
This was the second new pickup I bought when I started in my business. Same colors and and everything. (1965) I rolled it off a hot, rain slicked black top road and had to replace the cab back to the wheel wells.
Thanks for the memorys.
Lee
Agreed Lee, my dad traded a VW bus for the a used Dodge van version in the late 60’s, automatic transmission with the shifter up on the dash [tup]
We turned it into a camper for spending weekends going to the many lakes in NW Montana.
Lee, My pleasure. Glad you came out of that long ago mishap okay. Ford made a similar cab-over pick-up based on their van. Sitting right next to the motor in those vehicles could get a might uncomfortable on a warm day.
Regards, Peter
This afternoon, I finished 4 boxcars for Boothbay Railway Village. They are Accurail factory paints, and I have weathered them to represent cars that are in good shape, but need a trip to the shop.

What flavor of ballast is that?
I think I used fine cinders for my yard.
Looks great, Grampy.

Here are 6 hoppers I weathered this weekend.
