In the process of cleaning up and organizing my train room this week, I found a yellow Testor’s paint marker I bought to paint handrails. So I decided to give it a try on one of my GP7’s. It actually came out ok, a little rough but that means it just doesn’t look like it came out of the paint shop. Sort of hard to get every spot because of how close to the body the handrails are, but from 3 feet away it looks fine.
Pic of when I only did the bottom half (I started before getting out a book to see just how far it was supposed to go) plus my cleaned up room are on my web site.

Randy,
NICE Website! You are obviously busy, and what you have done looks pretty good.
Finding something you forgot you had happens to me every once in awhile - usually after I buy another and then find the first one I bought but misplaced.
Of course I’ve had the opposite happen, wherein I just know I bought something, can’t find it, and eventually come to the realization that I never bought it in the first place.
I also found a complete set of english and metric hex keys I KNEW I bought but a couple of weeks ago when I needed a metric one to fix something in my car I couldn’t find them and ended up buying a set of 3 that had the size I needed just to finish the job.

Randy,
I posted a question about painting structure details a while back like window mullions and corbels etc. on things like DPM building and found those paint pens to work the best at least for me.I know what you mean about coming out a little rough, it does take a little doing some times to get the flow just right.
