I look all over the Internet for Centennials but I can’t find any. Any help and costs?
I just did a search on eBay for “DD40X” and found 6 units for sale. I don’t know if they’re still being produced.

What scale are you looking for, specifically?
In HO, there are 3 that I know of, and all are out of production. The first one was made by Bachmann through the 80s, but it was a light-weight, poor running model. Next is Bachmann’s Spectrum version, made through the 90s. These would be the best choice, since all I’ve ever heard about it is good things (except an occasional split gear, easily replaced). Third is a brass model from OMI, but they usually sell for around $1,000 each.
In N, your only 2 choices are both Bachmann. One is a Plus model with 4-wheel-drive, and the other is a Spectrum, which probably has all wheel drive. I can’t comment on either, since I’m in HO, and don’t know too much about N.
Found in a Google search.

DDA40X!!! DDA40X!!!
If anyone offered to sell me a DD40X on ebay or anywhere else I would run and hide under my bed since they never existed!!!
If what you say is true, then the Union Pacific Railroad is writing fiction saying:
"Centennial DD40X: Union Pacific has retained only one of its 47 Centennial diesel-electric locomotives, No. 6936. The Centennials were the largest diesel-electric locomotives ever built. Actually comprising two engines on one frame, they delivered 6,600 horsepower. Designed and built exclusively for Union Pacific Railroad, the units were named in honor of the railroad’s centennial anniversary celebration in 1969. Accordingly, they were numbered in the 6900 series, from 6900 to 6946.
“The first Centennial was delivered in 1969, in time to participate in the Golden Spike celebration in Utah. The remaining units were delivered during the next two years. They operated in fast freight service over most of the UP system until their retirement in 1984. Eleven of the locomotives were donated for public display in various parks and museums.”

rtpoteet has it right. The UP has no idea what they are talking about in regards to their equipment.
That is interesting that UP would get it wrong. Maybe they just don’t care? I don’t know.
I should probably mention, the 3 HO models I mentioned are all named differently.
Old Bachmann: DD40X
Bachmann Spectrum: DD40AX
OMI: DDA40X
That should make it easier to find them, if anyone was looking.
