The forecast of up to 20 " of rain on the west coast may cause significant RR problems. There is forecast flooding of Sacremento river and others. My concern is mudslides onto RR tracks especially around Seattle and the UP route along the mountains. The NWP route to Willits and Eureka has always been especially hard hit by flooding which I understand part has just been rebuilt. Any reports especially appreciated.

Northline Sounder service between Everett and Seattle is canceled for the morning and evening commute on Monday, 12/3 because of mudslides. If no further mudslides service would be expected to resume normal service on Tuesday morning 12/4. |
