West Tennessee Railroad continues to change.

After trying to post pictures on the forum I noticed, as did others that the flash picture just falls short. Also, I did not have a clean scene, i.e. dust, cob webs, missing ground cover and the like. So I went to some forum sights and tried to follow directions. I am still learning. But better lighting and fill does make a difference. Some of my first attempts on the WTRR. I like buildings and detailing.

Then no flash, just light, 100 watts and flourescent.

Still a lot of work to do.

Robert, WTRR

not too shabby man, especially for a first layout (i’m assuming?). You’re right about the flash thing though, it really is overkill and just destroys a good picture.

best thing to do, imo, if you want to make your layout look like the greats, is to keep pictures of their layouts handy; post them up all over your layout room. Also, make a list of materials to keep handy of what people use. This helps keep you on track.

keep it up man
