Apologies if this is readily available somewhere; I’ve never managed to find it.
What did the Western Maryland call their F7Bs? I read somewhere—probably one of the WM diesel books—that their F3As were “DF-16” and their F7As were “DF-22”. Unfortunately, this book is no longer available to me, since the store that had it closed.
No problem, they were the same class, “DF22”. Unlike other carriers that assigned different classes to booster units, WM used the same class, I presume on the basis of performance.
Thanks much; I appreciate your response. I vaguely remember (and photographic evidence would seem to bear this out) that the F3As underwent modification, perhaps to F7A standard. Y’reckon they did that to the B-units as well, and reclassified them?
