That wouldn’t be somewhere on the Marias Pass route, would it?
washington state somewhere?
Eastbound BNSF stack train crossing Sand Creek in Sandpoint, Idaho. U.S. 95/U.S. 2 visible running under far end of bridge. Searchlight signals at far end of bridge protect UP (ex-SI) diamond. Next set of signals in distance are at west end of Boyer siding. Bridge built after BN merger to connect former BN with former NP.
On second thought, that might be a BN (not BNSF) train account the cabless B70-7A.
He didn’t tell us the photo’s date, but that is Sandpoint. Power is BN green and that is one of those toasters that went to South America, so this would be about 3 years old at the earliest, I would think.
I couldn’t have said that better myself. Good job.
BTW- it was taken in spring of 93’.
Actually, I could have said it better. I should have said, “Bridge built after BN merger to connect former GN with former NP,” not BN with NP. Sorry.
I knew what you meant.[;)]
