looks like some place in Ado Canyon mid to late 80’s
Tehachapi
Bridge over Bealville Rd, west of Tehachapi
Exactly right. It’s Bealville. Good job.
Now for the bonus round. I had ruled out useing this one for the total lack of clues. But you guys might suprise me.
Let’s see…I might try checking my “consist tracker” on the net and see if I can find it…
cool picture!!
Redding, CA?
Not Redding
It was taken in 92’. Can you track something that long ago. I would be shocked if did though. [;)]
Yes, indeed, I was taking a swipe at one of the other current threads.
Auburn, CA?
Taking a wild guess but it reminds me of the central coast so I want to say the Atascadero/Paso Robles, CA area
I think Corwinda is correct. About 1992 the SP started lifting its second main track over portions of the Donner Pass line, and it seems that they were to start around Auburn.

Good logic Eric, and that was around the time of the removal of the original main over Donner. But less then 20 miles of track was removed and it was all high up in the granite.
It’s actually Newhall on the Sagus line a couple miles north of the tunnel linking the Santa Clarita and San Fernando valleys. At the time it was SPs but is now owned by Metrolink.
