Western where is it 3/8/06

Is that loco trying to hide it’s face in shame? I’ll guess LA?

Chad…I’d have to say LA Basin too…all that smog/fog etc…Delores/Watson???

Mike

Hummmm…well…um…Not LA.

What’s wrong? You don’t read “tag”…Geeezz, it’s written all over that loco…[swg]

Sorry Chad…my “tagger-speak”…is not up to par…

Now I’m not a westerner but, as soon as I saw the first picture of the yard and the smog in the background I thought LA. So I’m going to go with everyone else here and say LA. Then I also thought that LA was an approperate place to see UP locomotives dressed in some of LA’s finest, graffitti. AM I RIGHT???

OOps, Mike, Your post slipped in ahead of mine and I didn’t see it. You are right, it’s Dolores yard, Good job. I took these a couple weeks ago. Things sure have changed there.

Murphy Sideing, I couldn’t really accept LA as LA is a big area. Sorry.

Oh man! Don’y I at least get credited with an assist? Sarah wrote down exactly what I was thinking-word for word. Spooky![:O]

Just because its smoggy doesnt limit it to downtown LA, if you want REAL smog just go east!

Try going to Colton or Riverside, some days you need a machette to carve a path!

OK Murphy Siding gets honorable mention for that outstanding assist. How about I buy you a beer…er…uh. a drink in the dinner? Just tell CW I’m picking up the tab.[;)]

Feel better now?[(-D]

Yea Vic, LA certainly doesn’t have a monopoly on smog. They do a good job of shareing the wealth with the rest of the basin. On a bad day you can see it pouring over Beaumont pass and into the Cochella valley too. Smog might suck, but at least we don’t have to own snow shovels if you know what I mean.

Sunny, 47 degrees(above zero) in SD, with clear blue sky. Do you guys have a sky there, somewhere above the smog?[:-,]

Absolutely, nice clear blue sky. But you have to climb a 10,000+ foot mountain to see it on most days.[8D]
