I’m bored so what the …

Mojave Desert?

That’s one of those dangerous trains. Imagine a crossing in the middle of the night (moonless) and that is traveling through the crossing. After the 3rd motor, the whole train disappears!

I never get these right anyways, so what the heck. Kismet, CA.

…Yucca Flats, Az.

East of Las Vegas, NV.

I would bet on somewhere along the Transcon, probably in southern California. Would that be a vestige of old 66 in the foreground?

The BNSF train is passing Edwards Air Force Base. You can see the Flight Test Center in the background. The train is eastbound from Mojave to Barstow. And on the side where the photo was taken behind the photographer is Borax where the famous twenty mule teams were made famous.

Al go it, It’s North Edwards. Great job!!!

While traveling east on 58 out of Mojave I met up with this train at Bissel (just east of Mojave) and ran together all the way to Barstow, some 60 miles. It was another great way to start a journey [:D]
