What about the Flexliner?

I have just seen some photos of the Amtrak Flexliner while testing in 1997. What about this train today? Are there some in service? If yes, where and how many units? Thanks for your answer, Micha.

No, these were simply brought to North America for testing and as demonstrators. There was mild interest but no orders. I think the cars came from Israel and went back there a few years ago.

I believe the Flexliners were originally built in Denmark.

The flexliner design was originally built for Denmark by Adtranz, which was owned by Diamler-Benz. Adtranz was subsequently purchased by Bombardier. The ones that came over here were part of an order for the Israeli State Railway that came over here for demonstration purposes. The design is now used on a number of railways around the world.
