Loud people yacking a couple of cubicles down from mine. [:D]
The humidifier at medium speed.
I’m listening to the gentle humm of my computer, other than that, silence.
i’m listening to the rumble of the plant machinery right now…9 hours a day…5 days a week for the past 25 years…it’s really getting VERY OLD by now…(and just think!..in 10 years i can retire!)
The 5 fans on my PC - didn’t realise it would be so loud when I built it, though the new Hard Drive has made it a lot quieter than before!
The low hum of my CPU fan. The foot steps of co-workers down the hall. Oh, sometimes the copier/printer/fax has a print job that comes out and it makes a noise too. And the sound of the keys on the keyboard as I am typing this post… And the door opening and closing at the end of the hallway just outside my office door.
My wife whining about washing dishes and doing laundry!
“Ian Tyson - Live at Longview”
One of his more recent albums.

The voices in my head.[:-^] They’re telling me “buy more trains… buy more trains”
I’m listening to an interview with a photographer and film maker who taught basic photography to children of women who work in the sex trade in Calcutta, and how this simple knowledge opened doors and made a difference in their lives.
The film about these kids, Born Into Brothels has been nominated for Best Documentary in the Academy Awards.

The song “Drowning in a daydream” by Corrosion of Conformity is on while I’m typing this.
Some early “Fats Waller” O.K. who’s Fats Waller??? , I’m one of the people that remembers that there really was music before the Beatles, or Seattle garage bands—
does this date me???
Right now I’m listening to my Maine Coon cat Spooky purr like a Mack Truck, since it’s feeding time and she’s wondering what in Hell I’m doing reading posts instead of taking care of her business. I’ve told her I get fifteen minutes on here while her Chicken of the Sea tuna warms up from being in the 'fridge all night. She’s wondering why I buy the canned stuff instead of directly over the counter at the fish market. Yah, sure! Like I can afford REAL Albacore!

The bubbling of my fi***ank and thw whine of my computer.
Listening to Essential Guitar, 33 Guitar Masterpieces - more specifically, the Cavatina from The Deer Hunter. (That’s the name of the movie theme song.) Beautiful piece. Terrific CD. Nice mixture of baroque and spanish guitar music.
tatans,
Nope. Even some of us “yungins” know who Fats Waller is. Didn’t he sing the song, “Your Feets too Big”?
dave9999,
