Hmm. Not knowing what the t-shirt has, could you do better starting with a line drawing of an F45? Say, this?: http://paintshop.railfan.net/images/lytle/f45.html And some shapes made in Word? The benefit to Friskit is that it’s self-adhesive, you don’t have extra tape in the way of things.
If you givce credit to Joshua Moldover for the draing, could you also post it here, so we can see? inquiring minds want to know
I have finally gotten my idea published to my website. Unfortunately, I can’t get the photos on to a post for this thred, so I have had to use a link to bring my ideas to all who are interested
We’re almost halfway to making it to the tri-centennial if we can survive the idiot’s running the country now.
It would also be great if Athearn or Atlas did a couple of the Tyco’s the right way. As a kid I had one of the Bi-centennial sets and ran it till it dropped.
While I model 20 years prior to the Bicentennial, after reading the American Freedom Train article in the April RMC I sort of want to do that. I regret that I never got to see it. Much like the author of the story, I lost my Dad shortly before the train rolled out. I’m sure we would have found a way to get somewhere whereit was nearby had he still been around.
Plus a Reading T1, couldn’t ask for more. And the dark blue paint was classy looking, unlike the other use of said T1 as the hideously colored Chessie Steam Special.
I don’t mind if you use the steel eagle design. I would suggest using the unrefined version (the one with the blue background) because I didn’t screw up with the eraser in paint (place it in paint and zoom in on the refined version (the one with the white background) and you will see my poorly-done patchwork pop-up in random areas when my computer went crazy for no apparent reason)
On a side note: If anyone would like to, feel free to take my design and refine it so it looks better than simply 3 objects copied and pasted onto one another (I’m not too good with a computer)
my tip: If you’re trying to do a color change, save it as a 16color bitmap. Then resave as a 256 bitmap, and you should have lost some of the fuzz. The rest of it you can recolro pretty easily.
Mch as I do enjoy it, I’m having problems making it fit adesign now, but I’ll keep trying. Somewhere,
I agree #1 is purty, I’m till partial to the 4449 myself, but the 49’s, and 610’s AFT scheme was the offical scheme, #1 was done on Rowland’s dime. Thoygh because they’re both so radically different, I can count them both at the top. Certainly above 8444, who showed up in her workman’s UP scheme. Where’s the patriotism UP? C’mon! You’re the owner of the Transcontinental Railroad, SHOW SOMETHING!
Plus, I’m having enough problems doing that decalling on the aux. tender with that dark blue, I’ll stickt othe white I can custom print onto…
