What DCC System?

Hi, I have a 12 by 16 J shaped N scale (I have changed scales since my last layout update, very long story) layout, I plan on having 1 to 5 operators, should I use Digitrax’s Super Empire Builder Starter Set or the Super Chief Set? I like the Empire Builder because its cheaper and I like the Chief because it looks like it has many more features.

While I’m asking questions, I saw on the Digitrax site something about being able to use Cab Signals, I know how prototype Cab Signals operate but how do these operate?

Can’t answer your second question, but as for the first, I’d go with the Super Chief. It has one big advantage over the Empire Builder – the command station has the ability to read back the values in a loco’s CVs.
