What Decoder is best suited for?

Just bought a Spectrum Dockside Tank Engine 0-6-0 and was wonder what decoder is best suited for it due to space restrictions.

Sorry, couldn’t resist. Maybe a TCS M1, it has a pretty hefty current capacity but is rather small.

Yep, have an M1 in mine. There is plenty of room for that decoder.

In addition to the fine TCS M-1 mentioned above, the Digitrax DZ series wired decoders fit, as do the Lenz Gold Mini, and I believe that NCE has one that will fit too. The Lenz is the most expensive, and has the most sophisticate motor controll features.

I put a Digitrax DZ123 in mine and haven’t had any problems.
