What did YOU get under the tree?

My wife gave me a nice Gerstner International oak artisan tool box, so I can finally organize my model building supplies. I’ve been looking for a nice tool box for the last few years, and I remembered a guy I worked with back in the 80’s that had one of these when we worked in a model shop. I’ll be spending some time this weekend digging out my seldom used tools from some boxes in a closet and finally having them where I can get to them.

Hope everyone got something they really wanted for Christmas too.

A kit so I can brew some Belgian Abbey ale (brewing beer is another hobby of mine).

I got a Xytronic soldering station LF-389D, PWRS gift certificates, a Max Jacquiard print. A new Canucks jersey, Canucks Beer Steins and a Canucks Christmas ornement. A bunch of other stuff as well.

Our latest puppies first Christmas.

I bought myself a CVP wireless system to add to my Lenz DCC. It came with the wireless station and two throttles. I’m having fun being untethered.

I got some food-related items from daughter Annie - some flavored salts for grilling and some spiced barbeque rubs for, uh, grilling! I like grilling. I also got a couple of bottles of wine which somehow never made it back home from the ski trip.

I got a HO Broadway Limited Pennsylvania T1.

The down side is my wife isn’t very good at shopping and tends to overpay so this year I bought it and had to wrap it myself. Nothing like buying & wraping your own present (smile) but I just had to have one under the tree, right?. OTOH, I spent half as much and can now buy a second T1, all care of American Express Rewards [:D]

A couple of DVDs with movies (Yay, one was “Big Jake”!), a gazebo kit from Woodland Scenics (cleaned up, prepped and primed), socks, a USAF t-shirt (I’m retired AF), Raiders blanket, an electric massage mat for my recliner (it works great!! Fell asleep in no time!)

Santa came early this year…

2 Rapido LRC coaches, a Rapido Park Car, an Athearn RTR CPR AC4400, a Kato D&H RS-2?, an air brush & a Proto CPR FA, a MacBook

Got my Bowser 6 axle Centuries (finally). Wow they are heavy. Alas no dcc or sound so I need to put in decoders first.

I got a book entiltled Iron Horses, I love getting books on railroading for Christmas!

I easily pleased and contented with my Christmas gifts. Besides, I feel Christmas is for kids!

Nothing train related, cloths, a couple of DVD’s ect. My big present from my wife is a model kit of Robot B9 from the original Lost in Space TV series. He will look awsome next to my model of Maximillian from The Black Hole. Warning Will Robinson warning! I guess I could call this little trolley a Christmas gift to myself, just didnt arrive till the day after! Mike

My lovely bride got me the Badger double-action airbrush I’ve been wanting, so I’m a happy bunny.

Keeping it MR related- a set of police officers, a Supermarket kit, advertising sheet, a rail service pickup truck, an N scale (sister ordered wrong since I model in HO) truck/accessories, a woodland scenics people/raccoon set, and a model power search light car that, despite being R-T-R, has been nothing but a pain in my side since I’ve tried to run it on my layout on Thursday.

I got money. My family doesn’t buy me trains unless I specify that there is something I really want. It is better this way because sometimes I can’t even decide what I want!

Money, and I already bought a book. I bought a copy of a Gene Schafer book “Wheeling & Lake Erie- The East end” I also received a classic train calendar, a book on the world’s locomotives from the start, to I think the SD70ACE and Es44AC. I still need to get that wheeling Geep though.

A Bachmann GP 38-2. A toy submarine like I had as a kid, new winter coat, new work bag.
