I took the chance to peruse this over lunch today - I like the $85 UP RS1, the CGW and C&NW piggy-back flats with vans; the end door opening boxcars; the flats with wood decks. What did you find interesting?
Don’t find the prices for any TMCC sets too interesting…and the $2800 set…who is going to buy that? I do like the TMCC crane and boom…that would be pretty cool. I am looking for a good TMCC steam engine set and I guess I like the $429 2-8-4 Berkshire set they have…but will hold off until 2nd catalog comes out and see what it has to offer…I think the Nascar sets were a mistake…model trains should (within reason) mimic the real thing…kind of like the floating alien car…
The 269E Prewar reissue set is nice. Too expensive for me though.
James the Red Engine - I’ll buy that, along with the S.C. Ruffey freight car. It’s my daughter’s favorite sodor locomotive.
The Trainsound cabooses are odd. I can understand the tender, and boxcars, but to have chuffing, whistles, and horns coming from the very back of a train seems like not such a great effect.
California Zephyr Streamliner 2-Pack - these look like the cars in our SF El Capitan set. $125 for 2 is a little too steep for me!

The new 027 Mikado in B & O and UP! Nice! I’ll take the B & O please. Very reasonable price, $250 list, with sound. (I’ll enjoy it now and pop in the TMCC later.)
Old 2037
The annimated mini-golf accessory, also the flats with trailers. Joe
I like the pre-war set, the 0-8-0 switchers, and the B units that shut-down. I’m still waiting on TMCC II. Overall, a nice catalog, but a lot of the items are pretty pricey!
i’m a big fan of the long island diesels and the new heavy weight coaches. i am very happy that over the last few years more lirr trains have been produced in O guage. the LIRR had been overlooked for way too long!
Las Vegas Poker Chip car. Oops, I thought this was the most ridiculous car topic.
And it’s in an aquarium car to boot!
Hi Doug. Do you take the train that stops at Edison Park? And if you do, Do you ever get off and visit Chicagoland Hobby?
Obviously, I like the 269E set, but that Standard O Chessie freight set is a beauty, too:

I’m really starting to admire Lionel’s Standard O offerings. If this keeps up, I may have to change my username. [banghead]
When I get the money from caddying over the summer, I will try to save enough for that Mohawk set. That in my opinion is a good deal for all of that. I wonder what TRAINWORLD’s price will be on it? I will have to see what my other hobb shop will sell it for. Prewardude, I was thinking of gettint that Chessie set with the money from Christmas, but decided to expand my G scale empire. They wanted $610, which is a pretty good price.
Don’t like it. Where is the NORFOLK SOUTHERN?
Oh, I think they quit making Shortline RRs !![(-D][(-D][(-D]
What i really liked are the:
1.) Alien Sounds Groom Lake Boxcar. Yea, it is silly but it goes with the rest of my Area 51 alien train
2.) The Southern PS4 loco and Heavyweight cars are great looking.
3.) 40’ Flat cars
4.) PS-5 Gondola’s
5.) The Operating Welding Car - except I want it for Bethlehem Steel (I have since found out that it was made in B.S.)

Hey, that PRR set looks nice too. I also like the N&W Hi Hood C420’s. That Mohawk set has now reached the top of my list. I could actually sell the command base and the cab1, and get some more cars in trade for them. I already have the command set, so that would be a great advantage. Of course I would have to keep the ZW.
I like the Southern Streamliner passenger cars ( already have them ) and the Southern FT. Like the Chief said, where is Norfolk Southern ? [:)]
Stan.
Everything from page one on. I can’t afford to buy it all till I win the lottery but I can dream!!!
The AF switch engines, the tie unloading car and the animated work crew look good. But I agree with Chief (and I’m a Yankee) - where is the Norfolk Souithern? I had the good luck to accidentally see a Norfolk Southern steam engine in Atlanta in 1994 when I was there on business. It was a beautiful engine. Tom
DA LIONMASTER Cab forward, goes to the front of my line.

I’d say Lionel is putting Mike to task.Did you see the Mikado ? Thats three new
engines in three years,at reasonable prices. You can’t fault them for selling high end stuff. There must be a lot of yuppies out there.
Ed
Datz da one for me too!
