I’ll have a better idea once they’re up and running for a few days. Hope we can keep the switches lined up for main line travel, with a minimum of sidetracking. Thanks.

I like that we can see all the replies at once, but it is hard to see who is replying to what, exactly, since the “tree” structure is lost. I also like that we can talk to each other off-line and chat, but would like another way to see profiles other than trough forum postings.

Iam very pleased with the new forum easy to get around to,nice set -up will be more of an active participant of the new forum

I love the new forums.The old forum threads were too hard to
follow. I’m looking forward to participating now.Are the standards for
content, language,attitude etc. going to be as high as they are for the
Finescale forums? Sure hope so it’s great . Thanks for the changes![8D]

New forum(S) certainly improved since one can now see all the replies together; lack of this plus the slow (10-sec) response time made me drop all use of trains.com forums in past; now will be able to use but why are you still the slowest response?

I think the new forums are great.How is it i have been registered here for over a year and never knew the forum existed? Has it always been in plain sight?

I like its simplicity. That, and the fact that it uses the same configuration as a number of other forums out there, which makes it a lot easier to navigate.

I think they are terrible. It takes too long to get in and navigate the site. I was interested in the magainze articles, not a discussion forum.

Its a new thing and its encouraging. Another train place to ‘snoop’ around!!

Love the magazines, have for years–you all are the best in railroad publishing–but your whole web site, forums included is VERY slow-loading. That’s why I just don’t visit you online very often. Would like to come here more often, but it’s too frustrating.

Looks good to me. Ya never know who you’ll meet or what you’ll learn unless some sort of forum is available— and we use it.

For railroading as we knew it, Classic Trains is the best!
