What do you think this freight load is?

Does anyone know what this object might be?

It was taken yesterday 7-22-2010 in Alplaus (Schenectady) NY.

It’s a nuclear waste carrier.

Yep, though I’m surprisesd it’s not flanked by idelr flats (or maybe that’s what the boxcar is for) and/or more of those containers as a non-switched unit train.

I wouldn’t grafiti that car though. Might end up being more than the lead paint that’s toxic. [:D]

[:-^]

My guess tonight would be a power turbine of some sort.

Johnboy out…for now

It’s an Industrial Air Conditioner for a large building.

Whoa! You guys were right, I thought they were just joking.

Now…what in the heck is a nuclear materials doing in NY? Is that from a nuclear power plant?

That’s crazy, I never seen that before.

I thought it was a nuclear powered Play Dough extruder.

Probably from the sub base at Groton CT. Those cars are owned by the Department of Defense

If anybody tried to graffiti that car, the toxic lead they’d collect wouldn’t be from the paint!

Can you say, “Armed guards?”

It’s a motor unit for a Compass Room atop a Hyatt Regency Hotel!

Is there some kind of a prize for getting it right or do I just receive mindless accolades?

It is rumoured there is a nuclear training base for submariners out in the woods near Saratoga Springs, which is only about 35 miles north of Schenectady and near some D&H tracks. You can’t see the base from the ground, but I have been shushed away by SPs (Shore Patrol - the Navy’s equivalent of MPs), for hanging out too close.

It is a Snow Cone Machine

Snow Cone machine?? Are you kidding??? Everybody knows it’s one of those machines for making “Soft ice Cream”!!!

Actually it’s probably best described as the world’s most “expensive” Thermos Bottle, paid for by the good old taxpayers again!!

What I don’t spend on trains, Uncle Sam takes, so I’m buying as many trains as I can get my hands on before he figures out what I’m doing !!!

While staying at the Bridgeview B & B near the Rockville Bridge just north of Enola Yard, I saw two of these cars on a train entering the yard. This was on the 15th of July.

Dale Latham

According to Marvin the Martian, it’s a planet disintegrator integrator. RUNNNNNNNNN!

Yes, this is the new Atlas 1:1 scale track cleaner with Goo-gone tank and vaccu-matic[tm] suction power.

They must have an operating session coming up…

John

You mean the Aluvium Q-36 Expolsive Space Modulator? Nah, way too big.

Dude, it’s a giant keg! PARTY!!!

Isn’t that just Peachy!?
