What do you use Goo Gone for?

I have seen several references on this forum regarding Goo Gone. I was curious as to what people have used it for and why type of results you have had with it. Do you use it to clean track? Rolling Stock? Bakelite? Do you find it works better then other cleaners? Just curious.

Clean track using a Centerline Products track cleaning car. Will follow up then with isopropyl alcohol.

If I’m out of isopropyl alcohol, I’ll use the 16-year-old Jim Beam. May not clean track better, but sure makes my train room smell interesting. LOL

I use it to clean track, inside and outside. I also use it to clean metal engine and car parts of any crude.

It is really good on removal of tape or stickers on glass.

Gets the crude off of wheels too.

Poppa, the heck with using the JB for cleaning, I’d sip it and not worry about the tracks.

Also great for getting Walters Goo off your hands!

I use it for major crud on wheels, then follow with a different cleaner to remove the GG.
I also use it to remove sticky labels and price tags and to remove chewing gum from fabric.

My wife puts it on grass stains on the kids clothes before she puts them in the washing machine. Gets the grass stains out. I think its an orange oil based product.

I used it on some old Marx switches that were really dirty. Cleaned them right up.

I use it to clean…GOO!!! ;b Works good as a track cleaner.

I sprayed it on some O22 switches there were dirty and gummed up. Worked like a charm! Used a toothbrush and q-tips to get into the crevices. Wiped it off with a clean towel. Used Scotchbrite pad to shine up track rails.
