What frame will fit BLI SD40-2 and E-7 shells?

I purchased the grab bag and now I need frames that will fit these shells. Any manufacturers frames fit these that are smooth, reliable, halfway decent, and for a good price? No Evilbay, please.

Well the obvious answer is BLI. You might try Athearn for the SD40-2 and Concor, or Proto for the E7. That being said matching different manufacturers shells to different manufacturers frames can be a time consuming task. If there is an interference problem you have to find it by trial and error because you can’t see through the shell. Best bet is to find someone who has them and see if they will let you trial fit your shells before buying.

I picked up one of those grab bags as well and was very happy with the contents. I now have a working NY Central Hudson that was basically complete except for the electronics. Put in a decoder and it runs great. I sent you a PM about the E7 shell.
