What happend to the trackside guide section threads?

[%-)] Where Dale had posted many great well researched threads? They aren’t there anymore [:O]

There’s a separate topic within the Trains Magazine section with that title. Here’s the link:

Yep, I noticed last night that it’s considerably thinner than it used to be.

I just did a quick search for ‘‘nanaimo73’’ [= Dale] plus ‘‘trackside’’ in ‘‘All of trains.com’’, browsed for a little bit, and came up with this huge honkin’ thread, captioned as ‘‘Temporary data storage (boring)’’, that contains 14 posts having a date of 7-09-2006, which may be the one you’re looking for:

In the last post is this list of ‘‘Trackside Guides’’:

thanks guys.

Paul, i wasn’t actually looking for anything, I just noticed they were gone. That would be a tragic loss. Dale put a lot of time into those. [8D]

CHAD:

WHAT YOU HAVE SAID IS VERY TRUE…THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER THREAD IS QUITE A PIECE OF WORK, SOMETHING DALE CAN BE VERY PROUD OF.

ALL THE CONTRIBUTIONS ALONG WITH DALE’S WORK IN COMPILATION OF THE VARIOUS CROSSINGS MAKES VERY INTERESTING READING FROM START TO FINISH. HOPEFULLY, SOME OF THE TRAIN’S STAFF CAN MAKE IT A PERMANENT ADJUNCT TO THE FORUMS. PERSONALLY, I DID THOROUGHLY ENJOY IT.

Thanks Kirk [8D]

Go to the threads page go down to the more options and click. Change the number of months (say 12) and restore. then go back to the threads page and you’ll find the guide.

Thanks for the tip [;)]
