Listening in on the live scanner feed, it appears something happened last night at Fostoria. Lightning must have knocked out the control of the interlocking at the tower.
F Tower is basically a switchboard right now, with conversations to and from the trains and dispatchers. The operator is instructing trains to follow signals and that his “boards are all black.”
Any idea of when this happened, how it impacted traffic and what the short term ramifications are?

not sure when it happened in fostoria but the same thing happened in deshler last week .dispatcher would have to walk the crews through the signals and trains would have to proceed very slowy.this would back up trains on ns and csx.
stay safe

Maybe they should have manable posts at thease junctions so a track crew can manually switch each switch/switches and signals through radio coordination with F-Tower.
