What Happened To Life-like Proto 1000 Series RDC-1!!!

I noticed that the Life-Like Proto 1000 series RDC-1 are sold out at Walthers.com. I have a hard time trying to locate them on the internet. Does anyone know where else I can find these models? I need 3 of them? Specifically I need an RDC-1 Athearn has horrible RDC’s.

If you can’t find it at an online store, ePay will be your best bet.

Maybe TrainWorld?? Seems to me they usually show them as being on sale for like $14.95.

Give them a call, but I think the ones on sale are the RDC-2 and RDC-3.

This link hasn’t been updated since '05, but they have the RDC-1 listed in two spots:

Yea, I need to find some RDCs as well.

I’m going to need at least three RDC-1’s, three RDC-2’s, a couple RDC-3’s and I’ll want at least one RDC-9.

What, in the wide wide world of sport, is an RDC-9?

An RDC-9 (aka RDC-5) is a single engined coach with no control cab, designed to run MU in a full RDC train with cab cars at the ends. The JNR frequently ran the equivalent. Of course, my favorite West Tokyo secondary line frequently ran 7 to 10 DMUs in a single train…

Interesting. Thanks to you both. I can honestly say I learned something. [tup]
