Would have been a different name with the same people running it. Don’t see where things would have been much different. If your name was a different name but you had the same parents and upbringing, would your life be different?

That’s the question, Wabash, and somehow, they think that could have made a difference and a difference with subsequent events and the acquisition and splitting of Conrail, too. At least, they want to speculate that it might possibly have made events go a different route.

if you recall conrail was owned by the goverment because the railroad was broke and when the goverments deep pocket taxpayers upgraded it and made it profitable then they sold it. i never saw conrail as a icon they are like amtrak just hanging in there.

your answer is not easy because if they keep throwing money at them then it helps me. But at the same time i dont like making others rich off my tax dollars. I wont never get a big piece of the pie anyways.
