i saw a listing in a locomotive roster book and for one shortline they have a CF7M. I know what a CF7 is but what would they do to modify one?
If you could, could you please tell me what railroad it is? I have a CF7 book so I think I’ll be able to help you out.
I would guess that a CF7M has a wide nose - like the GP and SD60M. This is only an educated guess though!
Trust me, that would look ugly, good thing no one’s tried that.
It wouldn’t look ugly if they put the original bull dog nose back on it. It would be kind of quirky but not too bad.
dougal, actually it is two railroads. the two railroads with CF7M’s are Mississippi & Skuna Valley Railroad’s # D-5 and Texas & Northern Railway’s #992-995
I saw a picture and there wasn’t much of a difference.
