WHAT IS GOING ON WITH M.E. DELIVERIES?????

I have had M.E. code 83 track on backorder since May!!! I know that the owner of this company has stated that MRR track is NOT his lead product, but when you are in business, and you have a great product, and it is in demand by customers in sufficient quantities, why are you not starting another production line to keep your customers satisfied? If you are going to be in the business, then BE in the business and get a move on!!! This is an American made product also, for which I support, and have purchased considerable amount over the past 4 years.

Am I the only one that feels this way about ME track products???

No need to shout. I use ME track, have for years, and I know he doesn’t always make a new production run his top priority. Neither would you if it wasn’t your main source of income.

Try ordering from MicroMark, that’s where I got mine.

This appears to be a perennial problem and references to a shortage of Micro Engineering rail/track–I use N-Scale Code 55 myself–has been reflected in numerous posts over the past half year or so. I encountered almost a years wait for production back twenty or so years ago–or at least right after Micro Engineering bought out Railcraft whenever that was. I determined that was never going to happen again so nine years ago as I was preparing to begin my last layout in the apartment in which I was residing I lay in two full boxes of which I still have about three pieces left.

I don’t know what else Micro Engineering produces but if you want their rail/flex track I would suggest that you figger your future needs, lay aside the amount of monies for it, and when it’s available GET IT!!!

This is why I am using Atlas code 55 wood tie track instead of ME code 55 concrete tie track on my N-scale layout even though my prototype line has been all concrete for about 15 years. Availability, availability, availability! Jamie

I am going to play devil’s advocate here and postulate that I could locate ME code 83 flex with a few calls in ten minutes time…(actually, I have several bundles in my garage as we speak) I hear people saying I can’t get XXXX brand because Walther’s or XXX is sold out. Make some calls and look around at some dealers and I bet you can find the product…

Try the following shops (they all do mail order):

MB Klein

The Trainshop (Santa Clara)

Caboose Hobbies:

Bruce’s Hobbies (Sacramento)

Coronado Hobbies:

Others feel free to jump in here with other good shops that carry ME…

I have never been skunked when looking for ME or Shinohara products (I have purchased many ME switches (40+) and over 200’ of ME flex…and lots of Shinohara curved switches…

Postlog - a quick call to the trainshop netted several bundles of ME code 83 weathered and non weathered in stock

Guy

I just called my LHS…they have 4 bundles of Code 83 non-weathered in stock and 3 bundles of Code 83 weathered…

PM me if you want their contact information.
