I have two tracks running together into a mountain, but they are on different subroad beds. I’m not sure if the will fit into a double portal. What is the inside dimention of the Double portal?
Thanks, David

Answer for HO scale: Not any too big!
At least not for double stacked container trains on a curve. Mine measure about 4 5/8" W x 3 3/4" H. The rounded corners on my WS concrete double portals are too close for comfort so I needed to raise them by 3/8 inch. I suggest using the larger cut stone version from WS.
PS: Look out for low bridges too!
I needed additional height as well as width on this WS portal. This is actually 2 double track portals cut just slightly off center and reglued. The keyway is the only telltale sign of this modification. The portal was widened the width of the stone, about 3/8". Would have liked more, but the seam would have been too obvious.
