What is the difference between GR plan set #17 and #56 ? They look the same. They are both ore car plans. I am thinking if I maybe (someday) I’d make one of them but am confused because they seem the same.

It looks to me #56 is an updated version of #17 . Good Luck - Peter
Plan # 56 is a non-working version of plan #17 looking the pictures
Dave
What do you mean it is a non-working version?

Look between the hweels, do you see the dump hatch in the bootom? That one will dump the load, the other will not self dump.
So #17 is probably the better one.
Also, I see that #56 is in 1:20.3 scale[:)], but #17 just says “G scale”[|(], so is it scale specific, or is it in 1:22.5, or what?
For an industrial ore car, I’m not sure the difference between 1:22.5 and 1:20.3 is going to be anything to worry about.

I guess you’re right about the scale. Do you think this plan takes a lot of skill to build?
I noticed that Gary Raymond makes 1:20.5 scale 18" wheels. They say: “For small ore and log cars.” Would they be a good choice of wheels for this car?
