What should I do now on my layout next and how is it coming along?
Thanks,
Greg

Run some trains and see what you think you left out or need to do next. That way you decide and are satisfying you, not someone else.
Not a sermon, just a thought.
hate to tell you this but nothing came up…but, in a nut shell…build the benchwork, lay the track, do the wiring, then the scenery…Chuck
I’m really new to Model Railroading, but it seems to me that there is a specific set of things that must happen in a specific order: Build bench, transfer track plan, cut subroad bed (cookie cutter), lay road bed, lay track, wire layout, build scenery and add buildings, and finally add the fine details.
As an aside, I also see nothing when attempting to look at your layout snaps.

My site should be up now
Gregbva- When I try to bring up your album it just says “No album for public display”. Somehow it seems to have lost your pics or something.
As everybody else has already said, I think that you should try to make yourself happy with it, and not worry about what other people think of it. I am sure that if you ran some trains on it, you would know if something was missing. Of course not that I would really know because I haven’t had a layout for about 15 yrs, but I am trying to get back into the hobby slowly but surely.
Good luck.

Go ahead and just open the last one, the pics are there.

I agree with just running the trains for a while and figure out what you might want to add or even remove. Also start thinking about structures, i dont see alot of room for any, is that intentional? You might not have enough room left over for buildings to justify all the apparent sidings. Have you considered that? On my layout I ended up removing some sidings to make room for industry buildings to justify the remaining sidings.
Run trains. Have fun. [:)]
Keep going with the scenery and track if you see fit. It looks good so far.

You may want to complete your backdrop. It looks like you have a backdrop picture in one area. It can be hard to access after you start on structures and scenery. I agree with the others about running trains to locate any problems or make any trackwork changes now. It is a lot harder to do later in the game. Looks good to me. Remember you are the only one that has to be satisfied. Don’t take others criticise to the point that you get discouraged. Its your layout , have fun with it.
