What is Williams by Bachmann

Micro Mark is advertising a C&O 2-6-6-2 with DCC by Williams by Bachmann. It costs less than the 2-6-6-2 under the Spectrum name. This is an engine I find interesting. I know what Spectrum is. What is Williams and how will it compare to Spectrum?

O guage - used to be an independant company

Sorry for the confusion. The new add is for HO. The pic is very much like the Spectrum pic. So what do we know about Wiliiams in HO is the question.

I went to the site and there is no C&O 2-6-6-2 by Williams, there are some in the Spectrum HO brand. Williams makes no HO items period.

Perhaps there was an error and has now been corrected. Williams indeed is O scale and has been around for a long time.

I share the confussion. The add came via email. I assume that the wording was unclear. I still wonder what they were advertising. I tried to email them for clairification. The advertised price seemed too good to be true. If it is a Spectrum, the price seems strange. Who knows?

I received the same e-mail as well. The ad is in two sections the first section with the C&O 2-6-6-2 is the new Spectrum engine just released as well as other Spectrum engines in their On3 and G scale.

The second part of the ad is the Williams O gauge items.

Yes, that certainly is a good price for the C&O 2-6-6-2 with the Tsunami sound. Micro mart certainly has some good prices and their reputation is excellent for exchange should an item be faulty.
