Fellow Modelers,
I thought some of you might enjoy my new website about my layout:
http://thewilloughbyline.com/
While the site has been attached to my signature for a while, this marks the official launch (I fixed the bugs in the first iteration)

As for the above photo - I’m sure you can spot the error…
Thanks for looking,
Guy
Nice work Guy. [<:o)]
When did you fellas start driving on the left? [X-)]
Looks like it’s just flipped though, not posed wrong - too small to see but it looks like the cab numbers and even the Southern Pacific on the tender are reversed, which means it’s really just the photo has been reversed.
Also the third photo on the home page is a broken link - the Conductor (a photo of you?)

So, from your perspective Chris, there is no error…
Either the picture has been turned or the cross buck is on the wrong side and backwards.
I think I saw a steam locomotive on Hogan’s Heroes once that had backwards Southern Pacific lettering that way…
Neat looking layout! It looks like it would be a lot of fun to operate!
That might be interesting to find out! I have the entire Hogan’s Heroes series collection, all six seasons.
[B] [B] [B] [B] [B] sSehheems fine to me. [D)]
Though I seem to have a case of dislexia from this photo.
Hogans Heros has just started its reruns on free to air TV over here. Its spinning me out.
I’ve been watching Tj Hooker, Adam 12 and SWAT as well. Geez it takes me back.
I haven’t seen those in many years! I remember Adam 12 from the early 70’s.
Yeah the photo is flipped… The train direction didn’t work for the page design so I just flipped it in photoshop. It wasn’t until it was up for awhile that I realized that it put the car on the wrong side of the road…I figured that no one would notice the cab numbers or lettering as those are pretty small in the photo.
Randy: As for the conductor photo - it is there. I did re-name the photo with a web no-no which is file names with spaces in them - which may be why the browser comes back with an error (BTW all the pics on the home page are named this way). I did this to raise Google visibility for the site.
RE TV shows - the layout name comes from a famous twilight zone episode - “A stop at Willoughby” . I haven’t looked to see if there was any image flipping in the episode…

Beautiful work, Guy. It does make you want to stay a while. But where’s the hearse for the Willoughby Funeral Home? [xx(]
Nelson,
You may have a darker sense of humor than I do…I considered this but decided that it might be a bit to depressing…However I do have the WS gravestone set that I might try to work in as well as a scratch built box to look like Dracula’s casket being shipped from transylvania…
Guy
Guy,
Just kidding, really. I was looking at your site and it suddenly occurred to me how that episode ends. [(-D]
You know your getting old when you find yourself singing to the oldies station on the way home from work! [:$]
