What is your favorite railroad?

Well, I’m partial to the Kettle Valley RR (Later KV Division of the CPR), Algoma Eastern (Later Nickel Sub of the CPR), CN, Canadian Northern, and the Kelowna Pacific/Okanagan Valley RR’s.

If your favorite is not listed in this poll select other and then see the “What is your favorite railroad? Part 2” poll.

Amtrak got its first vote!

I’ve always liked the Penn Central, myself, since that was the first railroad I remember seeing. After the PC, …

Sacramento Northern, with great fondness for Southern Pacific, Western Pacific and of course the Arcata & Mad River Railroad!!

The 'Atchison".

My favorite railroad are: CSX, NS, Amtrak and NYSW.
Further, of course, FS (Italian State Railroad Company) …

… I like BR (Brithish Railways) also …

I can’t believe that I didn’t see this topic when it was first posted. My favorite is by far the Burlington Northern. I find it rather interesting how I became interested in the BN. When I was first getting into trains, I bought five freight cars from IHC. I just chose a road name that was common, BN. Since then it has just grown one me.
Reed

Rock Island, MKT , Frisco, the Muskogee roads , Farmrail, AT&L, BNSF

Penn Central and predecessors, followed by Conrail, Erie Lackawanna, C&O, early Amtrak. Post 2000 favorites are CSX and Metro-North.

Nickel Plate Road. All other steam-era roads are slow, unprofitable & ugly!
