What is your favorite scale?

hope i did this poll correctly, if not could somebody tell me how to?

HO scale
Not to big
Not to small

HO scale
It has everything that I need to have and the prices are usually not to expensive for most of us.

I’m in N scale. I actually “like” N and HO about the same, but I’m building my layout in N because I’m spatially challenged, (i.e. not enough room).

Heck, I like it all.

Regards

Ed

HO
The right size for me to work with (handle, see).
The right size for the area I have for the layout.
A price that I can afford (allows me to have more).
Plenty of models available (both locos and accessories).
Very good detailing available.

I like S scale, big enough to see, small enough to be able to do something.
I find that S is the perfect balance, the pieces are big enough to handle when building a car or buidling, the trains are big enough to see with my older eyesight, and it’s small enough that I don’t need a whole basement.

Every scale is compromise - you have to decide what you want to do and which scale does it best for you.

Im into HO. I like switching and O is too big and N is too small. What can i say, it works for me[:D]

HO. Cause TT scale isn’t as wide spread.

Well, you just need to jump in. I think it’s a scale that will survive and grow because it fills the gap between HO and N like S does between HO and O. Unlike OO which is too close to HO to make it; TT is approx 3/4 the size of HO and 4/3 the size of N. It needs a committed manufacturer to revive it much like American Models did with S and then I think it will take off.

Robert

I have stuff in N, HO, S, and O.

But I mostly work in HO.

If I could find my camera, I’d post a pic of the O train under the tree.

Ho scale,But i would like to build a small layout in S scale.{maybe someday}

HO offers the best of everything. Its not to big so you can have a decent size layout and not to small where you can’t make out fine detail.

O.

Sounds and operation. As well as detail.

HO scale currently. But someday I’d like to do a small garden layout to compliment my HO one.

Noah

Heres some pictures of my stuff in O.

Like N best and it runs pretty good now. Like HO but would rather have nearly twice the layout in nearly half the space, I like point to point with turnaround loops, and passenger cars, 22 car trains. Would like to have more than 1/2 of a scale mile. I have two PCC trolleys I’d like to power though, 1/50th for O. I see stuff in HO I’d like to have in N, some items of buildings, locos, say like a F7A/A in Black Widow that runs good, SP. Being small, I don’t have to worry about tiny details, can’t see them. Like the classic metal works N cars and trucks, but the N is a bit off on my Hudson Hornet. I also have some DieCast cars, 1/18, 1/24, smaller in certain streamlined models I liked in the 40s and 50s. Not enough room for many, they will go in the train room as part of the theme, stuff I liked as a kid, and can’t afford to collect in 1:1 scale.

H.O.
Its because Im most familiar with it and I just like the size.

TT, of course!! And Thanks Aggro and Paul for the kind words. We ain’t dead yet, and even slowly growing!
